Favorite PNW Outdoor Wedding Venues

PNW Outdoor Wedding Venues

There are so many insanely beautiful PNW outdoor wedding venues! June through September are my busiest months for outdoor weddings in the Pacific Northwest – and for good reason. It the best time of year weather-wise – if you’re looking for sun, that is – and summer months are statistically more busy with weddings & travel. I wanted to share 8 of my favorite PNW outdoor wedding venues so you can get a feel for what time amazing state has to offer! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing at each of these venues at least once, and love going back!

1. Dairyland

Located in: Snohomish // Distance from Seattle: 45 minutes

Dairyland reminds me of my days shooting weddings in central Virginia! It is nestled in the rolling countryside of Snohomish. Not too far from the city, but far enough to feel like your traveling to another world. It is a dream of a venue to shoot at, full of glorious natural light, rustic nooks and crannies and a uniquely elegant feel inside the whitewashed barn.

2. Trinity Tree Farm

Located in: Issaquah // Distance from Seattle: 30 minutes

Every Pacific Northwest girl (and guy) loves her some evergreen trees! And Trinity Tree Farm has those in abundance! The land offers a couple of different options when it comes to ceremony and reception spaces, each uniquely beautiful!

3. Swiftwater Cellars

Located in: Cle Elum // Distance from Seattle: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Alright, this one is for all the wine lovers out there! Not only does Swiftwater’s grounds provide incredible mountain views, but also produces some delicious wines! Have your ceremony outside under the majestic gazebo, then party the night away in the wine cellar. The resort that Swiftwater is a part of, Suncadia, also offers golf, spa & other amenities, perfect to treat your wedding guests with!

4. Roche Harbor

Located in: San Juan Island // Distance from Seattle: 2 hours driving + 1 hour, 30 minutes ferry

I love how this venue feels like a time warp into a different world – a little vacation from the city where you and your guests can stay a short walk or golf cart ride away from each other and enjoy the simple things in life like a kayak excursion or a cocktail by the water. I feel like I’m at some glorious camp for adults. It is a truly magical place & such a wonderful spot for a wedding!

5. DeLille Cellars

Located in: Woodinville // Distance from Seattle: 30 minutes

Another favorite for wine lovers, this Chateau tucked in Woodinville wine-country feels like you’ve stepped into the south of France! DeLille has a secluded and intimate garden feel. There are so many lush areas for ceremonies, cocktail hours and portraits to take place. Every tree you walk around there seems to be another hidden gem of a spot!

6. Port Gamble Pavilion

Located in: Port Gamble // Distance from Seattle: 1 hour, 30 minutes

The Port Gamble Pavilion is one of my favorite destination wedding venues! Port Gamble itself is a adorable, sleepy town, perched right on the bluff over the Hood Canal. You can’t beat the ceremony location views, and your guests will love watching the sun dip behind the trees turing the horizon pink during your reception.

7. Woodinville Lavender Farm

Located in: Woodinville // Distance from Seattle: 30 minutes

This venue is such a surprise in the city! Right off the main drag in Woodinville wine country, these grounds expand into a dreamy field filled with lavender bushes. The smell is heavenly and the sunset glow can’t be beat!!

8. Sanders Estate

Located in: Kent // Distance from Seattle: 30 minutes

Operated by Blue Ribbon, Sanders is not only a beautiful & tranquil venue, but also offers full service catering, coordination & more. This makes it so easy for you to sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding day! From luscious rose bushes to dreamy wheat fields, the photo options are endless!
