Mountain Lake Engagement Session
I’ve lived in Seattle for over 6 years now… and I’ll tell ya what. I am STILL not over how GORGEOUS the mountains are – and I hope I never am!! Kevin used to make fun of me for saying the hills in Virginia were “mountains”. Truth is, I hardly knew any better! But the natural beauty in Washington leaves me speechless. Anytime we drive to go on a hike or go snowboarding, I sit, eyes wide, staring at the soaring trees around me. All the while trying to take photos on my phone that are always a disaster.
When Jenae and Chris decided they wanted to take their engagement photos at Gold Creek Pond, I was over the moon! I photographed Lauren & Rob’s mountain wedding their earlier in the year. It would be the perfect place to capture their love of the PNW! And combining a couple giddy in love with the surreal beauty of Gold Creek for a mountain lake engagement session. Oof! Sets my heart a-flutter!
Jenae, Chris and I hit it off immediately when we met to talk about their upcoming 2019 wedding. They met on Tinder, but realized that they also had many mutual friends through WSU! Kevin & I have a similar story. We lived near each other for years, and had mutual friends – but didn’t meet until our service trip to New Orleans. I think the universe has a way of knowing when you should meet your person. The timing has to be just right! And I’m sure glad it was for Jenae & Chris 🙂
