2015 has been off to a crazy start! We doubled the number of weddings we are shooting in 2015 in the first few days of the year – I am thrilled to get to be a part of so many wonderful couples’ celebrations! Our new bookings will be taking us to Seattle, Sumner, Tacoma, Woodinville & even Port Townsend. I can’t wait to start taking their engagement photos & ramp up for the season. Since I am in a bit of a down time editing-wise, I have finally had a moment to go back to a couple of weddings from last summer that I photographed with my friend, Jordan, of Jordan Quinn Photography! I love getting to shoot with my photographer friends – being a second shooter is a total blast – I get to focus on details & those special moments that I might not catch as a lead. I can document non-traditional angles & and spend extra time with guests, or in the case of this wedding – the adorable flower girl! I love getting to see how my friends work & learn from their shooting style. I even got to assist Jordan the following day at the same venue – more on that fabulous wedding soon! Here are just a few of the shots I got at Katie & Chad’s wedding at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo. It was a joy getting to second for this particular wedding as Katie & Chad are dear friends of Jordan and I’ve gotten to hang with them over the past couple of years as well. They are such a wonderful couple & I wish them all the best in their marriage! It was a hot hot August day but Katie killed it in her gorgeous one shoulder gown & I loved how the blush bridesmaid dresses blew in the summer breeze. An ice cream bar is my all time favorite dessert for weddings (we even had one at our own wedding) & the sunset pulled out all the stops for their evening portraits. Rosehill Community Center was such a stunning venue – I hope have a wedding there again soon! Cheers!
