Today is the 4th anniversary of the first couple I got to photograph after moving to Seattle. I had only been living in the Pacific Northwest for 4 months & had just gotten engaged myself. My sweet couple, Rebecca + Rick took me to Kerry Park for portraits & my jaw literally hit the floor when I saw that view for the first time (I’m pretty sure they thought I was crazy for freaking out so much!). Today I share a snowy engagement session from New Years Eve and I am blown away by the beauty of this state I am proud to call home. Alexa, Jon & I (and Kevin who graciously tagged along to help wrangle their adorable chocolate lab pup) had a heck of a time trying to find a place to even park on NYE as apparently everyone had the same idea to go play in the snow up at Snoqualmie – but we happened upon this little trail after just pulling over to the side of the road and it was perfect! We spent a few precious minutes trudging through the snow before we headed over to Rattlesnake Lake for the rest of their session. Alexa & Jon – thank you for adventuring with me & being so spontaneous! It was a whirlwind of a day but an excellent way to wrap up 2016 – I’m going to be sharing my favorite images from 2016 next week so stay tuned!!
