Discovery Park Wild and Free Family
Every year I donate a couple of portrait sessions to fundraisers, auctions, and other efforts to give back to the community. I love being able to use my skills as a photographer to help support organizations we care about. Kevin's sister is on the board of the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) and reached out to me about donating a session for their Furevermore gala last year - and this was the family that won!
Sometimes it feels like all we can do is donate money, but I love to find ways to get involved a little bit more creatively, or donate my skills in some way, especially when physically volunteering with an organization isn't necessarily an option at this time.
As with most non-profits, it has been difficult to raise funds like they normally would during COVID. This weekend SASF is hosting a virtual Furry 5K, and they'll be releasing information about how Furevermore will go this year soon. In the meantime, you can check out this newsletter about the gala here, and donate directly to SASF here!
Thank you to this lovely family for bidding on my portrait session - it was a pleasure to meet you and get to support SASF together!
Don't forget to wear your masks, friends!!
