Lake Wilderness Lodge Wedding: Rachel & Ryan

I arrived at their beautiful new home in Covington & Rachel was sitting at the kitchen island as her best friend put finishing touches on her hair. She was so calm and collected despite their whirlwind relocation back to the PNW the month before. Bouquets filled with handmade cedar roses sat on the dining table next to boxes for her two bridesmaids, carefully tied with silk ribbon.Rachel's sister had a charm made for her bridal bouquet engraved with each of her grandmother's handwriting "Love, Grandma". I am always so moved by how people incorporate their beloved relatives that have passed away. This is probably one of the most touching examples I've see!

Family & Celebration

We departed for their family church in Covington for the ceremony. Rachel's dad is a photographer and requested that he capture one specific portrait of Rachel & Ryan together in the sanctuary. I honestly love getting to watch other photographers. Sometimes I think to myself that there aren't really that many different ways to approach photography. Then, when I watch someone else work, I am reminded that we are all artists and have our own unique perspectives on how to create an image! After their beautiful ceremony, we all headed over to Lake Wilderness Lodge for the reception. This was my first time at Lake Wilderness Lodge and we were all thrilled to see that The Mountain (aka Mount Rainier) graced us with her majestic presence! I loved the mid-century/modern feel of the patio and we lucked out with a truly gorgeous and romantic sunset!Congratulations, Rachel & Ryan - it was such a pleasure capturing your day - here's to the many many happy years ahead! xopurple-and-white-wedding-invitation-with-wedding-ringslace-wedding-dress-and-badgley-mischka-beaded-sandalsbride-getting-readyflower-girl-bouquet-and-giftwedding-bouquet-with-purple-ribbon-and-note-from-grandmahubby-and-wifey-mugsflower-girl-getting-readybride-getting-readyfirst-look-with-dadfirst-look-with-dadgrooms-boutonierrefirst-lookfirst-lookfirst-lookbride-with-flower-girlbride-and-groomflower-girl-running-into-churchfather-walking-bride-down-the-aislechurch-wedding-ceremonychurch-wedding-ceremonychurch-wedding-ceremonychurch-wedding-ceremonybridal-portraits-in-the-woodsbridal-portraits-in-the-woodsbridal-portraits-in-the-woodsbridal-portraits-in-the-woodsbridal-portraits-in-the-woodsbridal-portraits-in-the-woodswedding-reception-detailsbride-and-grooms-entrance-into-receptionsunset-bridal-portraitssunset-bridal-portraitstoasts-and-speechescake-cuttingflower-girltoasts-and-speechesfirst-dancefirst-dancefather-daughter-dancewedding-dancingwedding-dancingwedding-dancingsunset-bridal-portraitsPhotographer: Meredith McKee Photography // Venue: Lake Wilderness Lodge // Videographer: Cory Bogle Bogle ProductionsTo see more Meredith McKee Weddings from this summer, click Here!
