4 Days in Lisbon
Lisbon - our final city - was by far our most relaxed stop on our trip! But also probably the most photographed - it was so beautiful! We spent the majority of our time in Lisbon strolling the gorgeous tile lined streets, eating pastel de natas, and enjoying the view from our Airbnb rooftop patio. We only one day trip to Sintra to see Peña Palace & Castelo dos Mouros - which was a colorful and wild adventure! We walked up a lot of hills to get to several viewpoints throughout the city - you could ride the tram to some of the more famous ones, but we tend to enjoy walking and window shopping along the way! There were also so many spots I wanted to photograph so it made the walks slow and lovely!
We LOVED enjoying coffee in the mornings & wine in the evenings on our gorgeous patio! I loved looking out over all of the tiled roofs - seeing the ocean peak through & watching the sun set over the hills!
Eurotrip 2019 could also be called Kevin & Meredith drink beer & wine in Europe. Sorry not sorry. There was a cool little brew-pub scene in Lisbon! Our favorite was Duque BrewPub!

We had pastel de natas every day - They are like custard in a cup of croissant dough. I die. They're served with cinnamon and powdered sugar! Often warm, but we preferred them at room temp! They sell them at pretty much every café.Pastéis de Belém is the original! They sell upwards of 20,000 pastéis a day - we bought 6. We definitely only needed 2.
LX Factory
LX Factory was a super cool place to visit - it's an artists' village filled with galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants!One of my favorite little random spots in Lisbon was our last night dessert at Pop Cereal: ice cream sundaes with approximately every kind of cereal in the world! (below)
"Pink Street" was definitely insta-worthy!! Lined with bars and clubs that were definitely *bumpin* at night! (We were definitely asleep at night)
Pena Palace
Sintra was at the top of our list for day trips from Lisbon. We took the train first thing in the morning - get there early if you can & want to snag a seat - it takes about an hour to get there & we were stuck standing!We had been warned about how difficult it would be to find the walking trail up to Pena Palace - but we were determined! After walking alongside the very skinny road with tour busses wizzing past us, for a good bit, we admitted defeat. We eventually decided to accept a very expensive tuk tuk ride to take us to the top. It was mostly worth it.

Castelo dos Mouros
We walked from Pena Palace to the Castle and walked all over the stone walls. We got in SO many steps and flights of literal stairs this day!! The view of Sintra from the top was absolutely beautiful! So cool to be walking on so much history!
Other Sites
Belém Tower, Padrão dos Descobrimentos monument & The Jerónimos Monastery are all nearby each other & close to Pastéis de Belém
Carmo Convent was near Duque BrewPub (hah) & The Museu Nacional do Azulejo (The Tile Museum) seemed like it would have been a cool stop!The Time Out Market was a cool sight to see but we didn't end up eating there because it felt a little overwhelming & commercial.
