I am coming off the tail end of a busy 2nd pop of wedding season & rolling right into fall family portraits & engagement sessions, but I couldn’t wait to share this stunning Seattle wedding! I hadn’t met Christine & Tomas until the day of their wedding but windows into their personality over email assured me that their day was going to be all kinds of wonderful. One of which included Christine proclaiming that she would basically be having cake & champagne for dinner (yes please!) I arrived to Hotel 1000 & found Christine & Tomas casually hanging with their friends while they were both getting ready. Christine’s hair in the perfect up-do, and Tomas taking a turn in the hair stylist’s chair as well (gotta love a man bun!). I gathered the details: the shoes, the rings, the program, the flowers & found a perfectly lit corner in the adjacent library. I felt overcome with inspiration and started shooting. The pearls, the satin, the dahlias. Everything was picture perfect.
This ring though! So stunning! It was time to get dressed & Christine & Tomas put on their final details. 
Christine changed out of her soaring heels and traded them for a pair of Nikes to walk to portrait locations – my kind of bride right there!! Christine & Tomas kept surprising me all day with their willingness to adventure as well as their kindness. They sure made my job easy! 
I went scouting around the hotel & nearby Pioneer Square a week or so before their wedding and found the most amazing rooftop patio near Post Alley – I loved the combination of rustic brick as well as manicured planters & glass. It was the perfect location to get the feel of the city!
Christine’s fur wrap might be my favorite accessory of the day! Perfect nod to the beginning of fall!
Christine could not have looked more like a painting in this moment before the ceremony. Absolutely heart-stopping!
I love the terrace at Hotel 1000 – all of the beautiful light benefits of being outdoors without worrying about wind or rain!
The decor for the reception was elegant & lovely. Simple white linens with tapered candles. Pops of colorful florals & greenery, and their beautiful cake from Macrina Bakery. Christine literally went to hug it when she saw it for the first time! Everything went off without a hitch thanks to their planner, Leslie, her team & everyone at Hotel 1000! Christine & Tomas live in California so an expert group of vendors was an absolute must!
Enter the most epic cake smash of all time! Tomas sneakily passed his bite to Christine’s best friend (and officiant) who smashed it all over her face! It was a hilarious & awesome way to end the party!
Congratulations Christine & Tomas – I couldn’t have been more thankful to have photographed your wedding day. You are equal parts goofy & put together and I love every frame I captured.
