Gender Reveal: Seattle Great Wheel
I’ve seen a lot of “gender reveal” ideas over the years (thank you Pinterest!) but nothing quite as unique as lighting up the Seattle Great Wheel with your baby’s gender color! Shannon & Joe reached out to me to capture this celebration and it was SO much fun! And to be completely honest, nerve wracking! Haha! They had their friend let me know the gender ahead of time – I was going to be the only one present that would know if the wheel was correct or not! Luckily for all of us, they got it right!
The moments right before the wheel turned blue were heart-pounding anticipation! I loved seeing the joy & surprise on everyone’s faces – Shannon & Joe’s especially! – when they lights kicked on. Shannon said she had a feeling it would be a boy – her face was priceless! The wheel stayed lit for about 30 minutes so we took some more portraits once the initial shock had worn off a little. We also had some fun incorporating some blue smoke bombs, too! Congratulations Shannon & Joe – this baby boy is so loved already!
