At long last – I am SO excited to share that my friend Huoy & I will be hosting a photography workshop in Seattle on March 16th! This is something I’ve been interested in pursuing for a long time & I was thrilled when Huoy reached out to me about teaming up. I had the pleasure of meeting Huoy several years ago through wedding photography. She is an incredible photographer and has a gift for teaching – we can’t wait to share with you all of our tips & tricks for up-leveling your photography game!

About The Workshop

Join us as we unpack the mysteries behind rocking your DSLR. We’ll first share about how to find and identify light, discuss the key elements of understanding ISO, aperture, and shutter-speed, physically practice manipulating settings and shooting both indoors and out, and answer any questions you may have!

Gain confidence in navigating different lighting situations by understanding the relationship between your camera settings AND get hands on practice shooting in manual mode & learn to use light to your advantage!

Meet Meredith

(Incase we’re not friends, already!)

Meredith McKee Ruth is a milestone photographer based in Seattle, WA. She has been photographing weddings and families for over 10 years, and also has a Bachelors degree in Film Photography and Digital Media from The University of Virginia.

In her free time, Meredith loves exploring the PNW with her husband, practicing yoga, and cuddling her pup, Lemon!

Meet Huoy

Huoy Chen is a Seattle wedding photographer for romantic couples celebrating their timeless and classic love stories. Recently featured in Seattle Bride Magazine and Wedding Chicks, she adores capturing celebrations unique to each couple. She is often found guzzling iced-coffee, wearing jumpsuits and hanging out with her two little daughters and husband. Originally from North Carolina, she found her forever love while living in Los Angeles who turned out to be a Seattleite.
