Winter is speeding past & I am already launching full force into spring weddings & engagements! Kevin and I snuck out to the mountains on Friday for a little getaway & some time in the great outdoors. He is working full time as well as doing school part time so our time together needs to be used to the fullest! We cooked camp stove meals and snuggled under a blanket on our covered porch as the rain fell around us. We hiked Wallace Falls & had planned on getting a little spring snowboarding in, but unfortunately night skiing is already done for the year! We’re just going to have to chalk this winter up to some crazy life transitions! Sunday I got to shoot a wedding at the beautiful Trinity Tree Farm out in Issaquah with my friend Jordan. It rained all day long but that didn’t dampen their party one bit. I’d been a little spoiled as of late with my spring weddings, but who doesn’t love a good umbrella shot in the Pacific Northwest! Classic Washington!
Speaking of spoiled spring weddings – Dominique & Wesley’s March celebration couldn’t have been better! I was so thrilled when Kirsten at Laurel Creek Manor reached out to me about capturing their day. She had me at “surprise ice cream truck”!! Dominique, her mom & Kirsten pulled together a rockstar team of vendors – I always love getting to work at this gorgeous venue! They held their intimate ceremony & reception in the great room, but the rain let up for ice cream, portraits & even a fireworks show! Every wedding I get to photograph reminds me of how lucky I am to witness two people starting their own family. Best wishes and huge congratulations, Dominique & Wesley!!
