I couldn’t wait another minute to share this incredible engagement session at Mount Rainier!! Paige & Matt have a deep love for the outdoors so it was a perfect fit to head down to Rainier to capture them amongst the wildflowers. Paige is quite literally a flower child since her mom is a florist – and Paige took some cues from her mama to make her hair piece & bouquet herself. I’ve had the pleasure of being close friends with Paige & Matt for several months now and I wanted to capture their goofy, fun loving sides, as well as their sweetness to each other that has grown over their years and years together. Paige & Matt have known each other since middle school and I could hardly handle hearing them recount a hilarious childhood memory – Matt asking Paige to dance at a middle school dance, his awkward moves, and then Paige rejecting him when he asked her to dance again. It’s these memories that are absolutely priceless when the months of cat-and-mouse blossom into a beautiful steadfast relationship. Sneaky Rainier didn’t give us so much as a glance, but the wildflowers, soaring trees and mountains surrounding were all we could have ever dreamed of. Paige is a clothing designer so her Free People dresses were on point. I loved how Matt would get quiet as we came around each bend of the mountains and lakes, just soaking in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Photo sessions & weddings (and travel for fun) have taken me all over Washington and Oregon in the past couple of weeks and I’m not complaining one bit about taking in these incredible views while I’m at it. I hadn’t been back to Rainier in nearly 5 years and I can’t wait to go back again soon. Congratulations Paige & Matt and thank you SO much for letting me capture you on this incredible adventure! You were an absolute dream to photograph!
