Phoebe and Michelle : Seattle Maternity Photographer

Growing up, my extended family took family photos every five years. One year in particular, we were at our favorite summer vacation spot: the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was time for the family photos again – I was a painfully awkward 9 year old. We all wore khaki bottoms and blue button downs. Literally the color of sand and the water/sky. Needless to say, these are NOT my favorite photos, BUT I do appreciate having them. Since that trend of blue on khaki died in the 90s/2000s (thankfully!) I have taken note of my favorite neutral color combos. I always love white on white – but know that sometimes that isn’t super feasible (especially with little ones in tow). Phoebe & Michelle did it right for their maternity session, though. I loved their mix of white, grey, light blues, and denim. By mixing texture and subtle pattern instead of bold colors, their faces are what stand out the most. They blend with the natural backdrop of Golden Gardens, but not so much so that they match the sand and sea. It was a joy capturing this couple as they embraced these last few weeks of pregnancy. Congratulations, you two! Your baby is so loved!
