Happy Valentine’s Day, loves!! What better way to celebrate V-Day than with a sweet anniversary session at Discovery Park?! Remember that incredible Army Homecoming shoot I did earlier last year? Well, Madalyn & Michael decided to come back to see me for something a little more serene… A session celebrating their first anniversary on the beach! Hanging with these two is like being with dear friends. Chatting in between shots, enjoying the beauty of the Puget Sound & the Olympic mountains, and just being happy to be together! I love celebrating love. Especially between two people that have supported each other through the ups and downs of life. Madalyn & Michael have seen each other through medical school, military deployment, and a long distance relationship. They are an inspiration to me, and their anniversary session was too sweet for words!
Why Anniversary Photos are Important
I think doing an anniversary session is such a beautiful way to celebrate years of marriage. Most likely, you haven’t had professional photos taken since your wedding day. What better excuse than to document a year (or two or three) of being together! You can do your anniversary session anywhere. Have fun with it! Do you enjoy hiking together on the weekends? Kayaking on Lake Union? Grabbing a swanky cocktail in the city? The sky is the limit! (Literally. Anyone want to hop in a hot air balloon?) It’s all about celebrating you & your relationship. Plan on snuggling and kissing a lot 😉
I am so excited to *finally* be doing an anniversary session with Kevin this year. We’ll be celebrating 4 years of marriage in April! Man does it go by fast! We’re planning on heading to the mountains with Lemon in tow because that is truly our happy place! I’m so glad my dear friend, Jenn Repp, will be taking our photos. I can’t wait to capture another year together! Happy Valentine’s!
