How are you, really?
Hi friends! How are you doing? We’re about 4 months into this global pandemic + I am still riding the waves of “this is ok” and “this is totally NOT okay” on the regular. Ya feel me?
My friend recently text me saying it felt like the world was on fire and we were trying to put it out with gasoline. Yup. That about sums it up.
I know this isn’t quite the text you may expect next to images from this beautiful (pre-COVID) newborn session – but I’m just keeping it real and letting y’all know where I am these days.
So many of my friends have had their livelihood completely altered due to COVID. I feel lucky + grateful that I have been able to do socially-distant-safe family sessions for the last several weeks, and want to say thank you to each of you that has hired me to document your family. Getting to do this work that I love is not only fulfilling, but also allows me to help contribute to our family financially. It is such a gift to be able to continue to grow as an artist during these wildly uncertain times. I have found myself incorporating creative elements into sessions that I hadn’t pre-COVID, and that is a silver lining for sure.
So, thank you. I hope you enjoy as I continue to put out work that lights my heart. It brings me so much joy and I hope to share that joy with you through these images!

Simple, Neutral + Classic
I loved this family’s neutral color palette + they had just moved into their new home so that provided a simple backdrop as well! This really let their family + their personalities shine!
The pop of mama’s orange headband + the glitter of her earrings especially made my heart flutter. Plus, scroll all the way to catch the boys’ matching pilot hats – they were just too cute!! Congratulations, and a big welcome to your newest addition! xx
