Swiftwater Cellars Wedding Photographer: Emily & Alex

It’s hard to believe I’ve officially wrapped up wedding season 2017! I got to be a part of so many incredible celebrations and I cannot thank my sweet clients enough. Currently I’m powering through editing and behind-the-scenes business work before we leave for Vietnam on Tuesday! Kevin has to go for work so I am tagging along! We’re arriving a few days early to explore Ho Chi Minh City together – we plan on eating all of the amazing Vietnamese food we possibly can! I am especially excited about the scooter food tour we booked for our first full day there as well as the roof-top pool at our hotel!

Earlier this year Kevin & I decided we’d go on a big international adventure this year and chose Argentina! The turn around time from Vietnam to leaving for Argentina in December is a little quicker than I may have preferred, but 2017 has been a big year of taking advantage of opportunity for me & so it’s full steam ahead. We’ll be exploring Buenos Aires, Mendoza (hello, Malbec!) and El Chaltén – so if you have any recommendations I’d love to hear them! I apologize in advance for any slow reply to email etc. in the coming months!

Now let’s talk about this stunning Swiftwater Cellars wedding!

I have been so anxious to share this incredible wedding with you all. Emily & Alex tied the knot at Swiftwater Cellars last month & it couldn’t have been a more beautiful celebration! I met Emily and Alex about a year ago as they were beginning the planning process with Alex of Taylor’d Events. Immediately it was like hanging with old friends! They had the most amazing vision for their day. Celebrating with their family and friends surrounded by the beautiful scenery (and delicious wine) of Swiftwater Cellars. I knew they were in excellent hands with Alex! We had such a blast at their Discovery Park Engagement Session. Emily’s smile is contagious & I loved how playful they were together.

Finally their wedding day arrived

The foliage had begun to turn and vibrant orange and yellow leaves dotted the winding roads through Suncadia. Both Emily & Alex were enjoying the morning with their respective bridesmaids and groomsmen. Emily’s sisters bustled about helping with last minute details as I snapped a few shots of the stunning bouquet Floressence had created. Emily is from Arizona so I love that she wanted to include some Southwest flair with succulents tucked in. After popping champagne the girls laced Emily into her dress.

We headed over to Swiftwater for the first look. My right hand lady, Julia, met us there with Alex where they exchanged joyful hugs, letters with happy tears, and excited kisses. After a few bridal party photos at the winery, I snuck Emily & Alex (and Julia and Cory the videographer – it was a bit of a clown car!) over to the bluff for some absolutely stunning portraits. We also found a trail filled with fall color and Emily and Alex were kind enough to let me tuck them in amongst the branches. I love how my clients are down for an adventure and don’t even skip a beat when I ask them to venture into the wilderness for a shot. This trust truly allows me to create my best work!

The ceremony space was simply jaw-dropping.

Not only was the sprawling golf course behind them gorgeous, but Floressence wow-ed everyone with an extraordinary floral installation draped above the alter. The day ran seamlessly thanks to Taylor’d Events & everyone was ready to party when Emily and Alex sealed it with a kiss! We all descended down into the cellar room for the reception. I loved how the tables were set right where they make the wine. Barrels lining the walls and tanks making magic in the corner. Everything was glowing in candlelight and the dessert bar (outfitted by the wonderful SweetSide) literally made my mouth water! Braden Landon was a fabulous MC and kept the dance floor movin’ until their sparkler exit. The new Mr. & Mrs. Nanni jetted off to Bali for some beach relaxation & scuba diving. Sounds like heaven to me!

Emily & Alex – I can’t thank you enough for having me as a part of your wonderful celebration! Thank you (and your sweet parents) for welcoming me into your lives and trusting me to capture your wedding day. Here’s to you – wishing you all of the happiness & scuba adventures your hearts can handle! xoxo

Featured Wedding!

I am so thrilled that Emily & Alex’s wedding was featured on Mountainside Bride & Aisle Society! Be sure to check the posts out!!

That flower installation! Incredible! Thank you, Floressence!

The adorable ring-bearer was NOT having it – Alex’s groomsman tried to lure him down the isle with Hot Wheels – it was precious!

I loved getting to make Emily & Alex’s engagement photos into an album for them to use as their guest book on their wedding day! It’s the perfect way to showcase your photos & enjoy them for years to come! Also all of the signs by Chalk Boss were perfection!
