Maternity Session at Rattlesnake Lake
I’ve done a couple maternity sessions at Rattlesnake lake now & it is just such a dreamy place to shoot! We did Kelly’s maternity session during the peak of wildfire season this summer & it cast such a dreamy pink haze as the sun began to set behind the mountains. I loved that they included their pups in their session too – they’re you’re first babies after all!
One of the most powerful things about photographing maternity sessions for me is when my couples haven’t had the easiest road to get here. I view their session as a true celebration of this incredible miracle we’re all getting to witness. They created this tiny human & that is huge thing to get to honor through photography. Kelly was absolutely radiant during their session & I feel so lucky to get to celebrate incredible, strong women like her.
I can’t wait to meet their baby girl this fall – congratulations you guys!!
I loved both outfits Kelly chose to wear for her session – especially this lace-y kimono! It was so delicate & draped beautifully over her bump. It’s a great idea to mix up a fitted & a flow-y look – they both highlight your bump in a different way!
