Willows Lodge Wedding: Alyssa & Naveen

Alright friends, are you ready for Part 2 of Alyssa & Naveen’s Willows Lodge wedding celebration!? Incase you missed it, pop over here to check out their beautiful Hindu Wedding ceremony! Again, I may have gone a *little* overboard with the number of photos here, but I think you’ll agree that there was just too much pretty to share!

We arrived at Willows Lodge late Sunday morning to find piles of General Porpoise Doughnut boxes on the table and my bestie, Jen, of The Outer Edge, putting finishing touches on Alyssa’s hair. If that doesn’t sound like the start to a great day, I don’t know what does! And yes, I had *at least* one doughnut during the day. Alyssa was serene, and glowing. Naveen’s niece played games on an iPhone, Alyssa’s mom & maid of honor steamed the sash. Alyssa finished writing her note to give to Naveen at their first look. The card she chose read “Love You Pho-Evah!” which is probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Alyssa & Naveen joked that today they would be “whole married” after their Indian wedding celebration the day before. They were just as giddy seeing each other for today’s festivities as they had been all weekend. We strolled all over the grounds of Willows Lodge. From the open fields across the street to the surprisingly beautiful parking lot. I love when my couples trust me 100% and let me take them all over creation during portraits. I couldn’t get enough of how Alyssa’s delicate henna complimented her delicate lace gown. Not to mention her gorgeous bouquet from Loves Me Flowers! After a whirlwind of family photos, it was time to prep for the ceremony.

Embracing Rain on Your Wedding Day

Recently, I wrote a post for a friend about embracing rain on your wedding day. Alyssa & Naveen couldn’t have done a better job! It started pouring rain in the middle of their ceremony which was partially taking place outside. Luckily, their officiant casually suggested we all move under cover, and continued on with their ceremony. Guests filled in the sides and the isles, making for a truly intimate celebration. I was glad I’d plopped myself front and center and had the best view in the house. Graciously, my second, Julia, captured some images from the outside looking in. She was such a rockstar standing out in the rain capturing these unforgettable moments!

Clearly I could go on and on about this wonderful couple & their magical day, but I’ll spare you and let the photos do the talking! Highlights included: their choreographed first dance to KISS Made For Lovin’ You, donut truck for dessert, a Bollywood dance performance,  and a pretty epic dance party.

Alyssa & Naveen – congratulations!! Thank you so much for having me capture your amazing wedding weekend. It was such a joy celebrating with you, your family and your friends. Wishing you all the happiness, and Tessa cuddles, life can bring! And move back to Seattle soon so we can hang! xoxo
