Inglewood Golf Club Wedding: Kayla & Brian

It has been a busy start to 2016 & I am quickly booking up for the rest of the year (read: if you or someone you know is newly engaged, let’s talk!) January took us to Santa Fe for a gorgeous winter wedding and Linsey & Cortlee also tied the knot in Tacoma. We adventured around Snoqualmie Pass for a snowy engagement session and captured wedding day portraits of a stunning bride in full kimono at the Chihuly garden. The weather in Seattle is testing our energy levels (rain rain go away) so I’ve decided to warm up with a wedding from the summer!

They always say you shouldn’t date someone you work with… but when “work” means counting inventory during a summer internship, I think we can make an exception. Kayla & Brian met with three years of college left – she in Colorado, and he in Michigan, but they were un-deterred by the long distance relationship ahead of them. Fast forward to landing back in Washington after graduation & they could finally start a life together.

Their wedding day was full of classic, timeless details – from a vintage Rolls Royce, to the big bow at the back of Kayla’s dress, to bouquets filled with roses. Kayla chose a unique color palette for their day which included shades of reds & pinks. Brian is a home-brewer & even made the beer that was on tap at the reception. Kayla even surprised him with a boutonnière that featured hops! Inglewood Golf Club was the perfect backdrop for their celebration following a traditional Catholic ceremony at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta in Woodinville. Guests played lawn games & signed the giant Jenga guest book. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures ahead! Cheers!
