When your dear friends get engaged, you practically beg them to let you do their engagement pictures! Devon & Rob are two of the kindest souls I know here in Seattle. They both went to the University of Virginia with Kevin & me, but we didn’t get to know each other until we all ended up out here in Seattle. Devon had a year left of her teaching masters program at UVA when Rob headed west to start his PHD at the University of Washington. They dated long distance, traveling back and forth across the country to visit each other. Rob is an outdoorsman at heart so they spent many a weekend exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, further convincing Devon to head to Seattle after graduation. Lucky for me (and Rob, too, I guess…) Devon took a leap of faith & moved to Washington, eager to start their life together. Fast forward just a few short years & Rob finally popped the question and they are now in the midst of planning their Virginia wedding. I wanted them to have a truly Pacific Northwest engagement session to celebrate this chapter in their relationship so we headed to Discovery Park. The autumn leaves were showing their fabulous color & the evergreens provided a perfect backdrop. I love the sweeping views of the Puget Sound you can get from the bluff and you can’t beat some beach shots as well. I am beyond excited for Devon & Rob to tie the knot this summer & look forward to many a adventure with them in the years to come! Congratulations, you two!! xx
