I’ve been slacking a little bit on the blog-o-sphere – it’s been a crazy wedding season and I am finally getting back in gear sharing my couples’ amazing wedding celebrations! We only have one wedding left in 2015, but are already gearing up for 2016! Next year is stacking up to be another incredible year, and I am so excited to get to photograph more wonderful couples in love!
Christina & Marc, like many couples here in Seattle, met in the hallowed halls of the University of Washington. They sat next to each other in class and the rest is history! This was the first of two times this summer that I got to shoot at the beautiful Sanders Estate. One thing I really love about this property is the expansiveness of the grounds. There are so many options for pictures, whether it is in the pond on a rowboat, or by the manicured fountain surrounded by rose bushes. The space also allows for ample running room for the littlest of guests who can spend their energy chasing each other around the lawn or dancing away under the twinkling lights. Melissa, the Blue Ribbon coordinator for both of my Sanders weddings this year was also a stand out, being everywhere the couple needed her throughout the day and managing all of those tiny little details that arise during a wedding.
I loved their soft, romantic color palette – champagne bridesmaid dresses, organic bouquets, reception decor dappled with golds and whites. The ceremony isle was lined with photos of Christina & Marc as the grew up, from childhood, to college graduation. You could feel the love and family support all day. This wedding also served as one of the best renditions of “Watch me Nae Nae” I had seen all season! Congratulations Christina & Marc – you’re married!!
