Montana & Zach were wanting an industrial feel for their engagement session but we’re sure how to achieve that look without being cheesy – they wanted something unique & creative! We bounced back and forth about several ideas and options & they ultimately decided to trust my vision of meeting at a parking garage in downtown Seattle. They admitted they were having a hard time envisioning what I was explaining haha but when we arrived at the first location they were blown away! The views from the garage are stunning – buildings soaring all around you & the iconic Moore theater just across the street. It is a very unique perspective on the city skyline & they loved exploring the different levels, curves & corners of the garage with me. I loved how Montana’s flower crown contrasted the sharp city lines, and then how she embraced the urban feel with her leather skirt!
For their second location, still going with the industrial feel, we headed to the Olympic Sculpture Park. This is the perfect spot to get creative backdrops against the city skyline and also where the city beautifully meets nature. We played with textures & colors as we made our way down to the water. Montana’s red maxi dress was in perfect contrast with the vibrant spring greens and cool silver buildings – not to mention the cloudy sunset glow over the water. Montana & Zach were happy to kick their shoes off and dip their toes in the Sound at the end of the shoot – the perfect wrap to an epically city-inspired engagement session in Seattle! I’m so looking forward to their wedding at Black Diamond Gardens later this summer!! Thank you for trusting me & having me capture this exciting time in your relationship, Montana & Zach! xo
