WHOA – what a YEAR, friends! I am so so grateful to be wrapping up for 2022 and heading into a beautiful holiday season with my family. So here it is, my final recap post of the year!
I have had the joy + privilege of photographing over 200 maternity, newborn and family sessions this year. (!!!) I started shooting again following my maternity leave at the beginning of January, when Fitz was just 2.5 months old. I am so lucky to be able to continue my work and passion alongside raising our tiny human. This is in large part thanks to Kevin’s mom, Julie, who looks after Fitz two days a week, and to Kevin, who covers our bases on nights, weekends, and lots of moments in between. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner, and I am so grateful.
As I hoped and anticipated, I have grown so much as a photographer through my own parenting journey, and I am so proud to bring that love, admiration and intentionality to my work. I love connecting deeply with my families, and growing alongside them. I have also heard so so many stories from my families about their own experiences with infertility + IVF, and I am so moved by that thread we get to share. Even though my passion project, Om Mama Co., is still technically on pause (I hope to re-visit this mission one day) I do believe that I have been able to bring it’s spirit of support and connection to my growing community.
