Wrapping up the “work week” today with one of the *three* weddings I got to be a part of last week! This one is extra special since it was the marriage between Scarlet & Dan – a couple that I have had the privilege of watching grow as a couple & a family over the past year. You may recognize them from some of my previous posts – their Seattle engagement session, their pregnancy announcement, and their three-part story from maternity, to birth, to in-home newborn session with their baby boy, Jett!! They decided to make their commitment official last week at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse, surrounded by a few close friends, and of course, Jett! Scarlet and Dan chose to have their ceremony on the rooftop patio (fitting for these two if you take a peek at their other sessions with me) with the gorgeous skyline stretching out behind them. It was a warm, beautiful summer day, with Rainier peeking over the horizon in the distance. The ceremony was short and sweet, but carefully personalized to them and their journey. They exchanged rings and sealed their union with a kiss, hugs, and cheers. I was so honored to get to be a part of this celebration – it felt a little bit like the last chapter in a long journey, but really it’s only the beginning! Hopefully I’ll have this sweet family in front of my lens for years to come! Congratulations Scarlet & Dan – you’re MARRIED! xoxo
