The road to this moment isn’t easy. It’s marked with hard decisions, scary moments, loss, anxiety, pain. But in these moments, their is also joy. There is gratitude, there is overcoming obstacles. There is pure luck & magic. Photographing maternity & newborn sessions gives me the deepest appreciation for what women and their partners go through physically & emotionally for this moment. To place their hands on their baby, and sit in a breath of thankfulness. Despite the tears and the worry – this tiny human is already loved until the end of time.
Golden Hour Maternity Session
I loved getting to spend a sunny evening at Golden Gardens with Kim & Chas! We met during their wedding planning process – Check out Kim & Chas’s Wedding & Engagement Photos on the blog! – and was SO thrilled when they reached out to me to celebrate their pregnancy! Kim is an interior designer & artist and is always on POINT with her wardrobe choices! I loved this bright and cheery yellow floral maxi – it added even more warmth to the setting sun! Be forewarned – during your session, I may ask you to traipse through bushes to get that perfect shot! Always worth it! : ) I can’t wait to meet their baby boy soon – congratulations you two!
