It’s crazy to think that this sweet at-home newborn session was my first session back after having Fitz! It was actually right after a snow storm, and in West Seattle (a little bit of a drive from Ballard!) so Kevin and Fitz actually came with me. Fitz was just about 2.5mo old, and I was breastfeeding, so as I’m sure some mamas can relate – I was tracking that clock like it was my job. I fed him in the car right after our session! It was definitely one of those working-mom power moments, but also one of those moments where I realized – holy cow, this is a lot.
I am grateful that my first shoot back was with friends – I’ve know Katie for several years, having met back when she was an instructor at CorePower Yoga! Their pup, Franklin, was a total ham, and it was such a joy to get to celebrate baby Evie’s arrival. Just like Fitz, she is growing up SO darn fast!! Congratulations to this precious family and thank you for having me document these special memories in your beautiful West Seattle home!
